Outfit of the Day: Checkered Coat & Vans

Well, by now it has to be extremely obvi that I am cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs over checkered print. 🤐. I really do like like black and white contrast and use it often in my outfits and home decor. It must be the Libra in me with the whole balance deal. I digress, anyway, today's outfit share features this super warm checkered fuzzy coat (with pockets I must add), hightop platform Vans, paired with a long sleeve scoop neck body suit via Abercrombie and my most comfortable sweatpants. Honestly the pandemic has changed me forever in several ways, one of which being that I have an unbreakable bond to sweatpants now that I don't even want to break...like ever. Please tell me I am not alone in this!

BECAUSE have you seen these boots? These rad babes are platform dupes for another well know boot who shall remain nameless (we all know who) and they are priced so very much less, but not at the expense of quality. So if you are a deal lover like myself, these just may float your boat. They are warm, feature a platform soul and are the perfect caramel hue for pairing with all sorts of pieces. Fringe, checkers, leopard print, and as if that isn't enough, fishnets! All together, like one big happy mixed up family. Print mixing is one of my favorite ways to take an outfit from feeling blah to feeling BAM!

Outfit of the Day: Checkered Set

110% already repeating this look. Haven't even had this set very long and it is already on repeat. Too legit to quit, totally love what DressedInLALA.com has to offer in general :) soooo naturally I am sharing! The whole site offers pieces with personality and this set is my personal current favorite because checkers are one of my all time favorite prints!

Outfit of the Day: Hooded Sweatshirt Dress

Taking it back to basics in this hooded sweatshirt dress number. Pieces like this are versatile, I love that. Versatility always feels like more bang for the buck to me. Here I have paired my sweater dress in a few different ways including with tights, sneakers, and with boots. Mixing it up is the name of the game otherwise we are left with basics that truly are basic no? A simple piece like this sweater dress could also be paired with a different hat, jewelry, leggings, or bags taking the look from super casual to casual with effort:)

Outfit of the Day: Blazer & Band Tee

Calling today's look business (extra) casual for lack of a better term. Business blazer and casual everything else. That's the vibe. Blazers are having a moment right now. Academia fabrics like tweed and plaid are making a Fall/Winter 2022 comeback in a big way and I'm here for it. 

I love pairing blazers with band t-shirts like this Nirvana one. Leggings are always a go-to and today I am popping on my Dr. Marten platforms to finish off the look with a little edge, which I am always a fan of.

This particular blazer is vintage Ralph Lauren, I picked it up in a local thrift store here in Las Vegas. Similar vintage ones can be found on Etsy h e r e. There are also lots blazers available with a fantastic vintage look at top retailers all over the fashion-verse, now trending. Below I am sharing some of my favorite current blazers with vintage vibes. 

(Also the beanie was part of my Halloween costume that is now being cycled into everyday life lol)
